Weddings at Three Rivers Country Club: A Dream Venue in Essex
Their wedding was a spectacular event, featuring three ceremonies, vibrant cultural elements, and a breathtaking sunset to close the celebrations. One of the best parts of capturing weddings at Three Rivers Country Club is the freedom to document these heartfelt moments discreetly, ensuring the most authentic and storytelling angles.
A Perfect Start with a Vibrant Hindu Ceremony
The day began with a beautifully vibrant Hindu ceremony. As per tradition, the groom’s wedding procession, known as a Baraat, marked the start of the festivities. Traditionally, the groom arrives on a white horse, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the Indian Dhol drum and joyous dancing guests.
Pritesh's entrance was nothing short of extraordinary. The loud, celebratory beats could be heard from afar, and smoke bombs added a burst of color and grandeur to the occasion. Once the Baraat concluded, the groom made his way to the Mandap, a traditional structure comparable to the Jewish Chuppah. Here, a priest performed a Ganesh Puja to bless the ceremony, followed by the main wedding rituals when Iona arrived.
One of the most touching moments was the exchange of floral garlands, a symbolic gesture representing the couple’s acceptance of one another as husband and wife. Capturing these traditions was both a privilege and a joy!
A Fun Tradition: The Aeki Beki Game
A highlight of the Hindu ceremony was the Aeki Beki game, a playful tradition where a ring is placed in a bowl filled with water, milk, sindoor, and vermilion. The bowl also contains coins and other small objects. Both the bride and groom compete to retrieve the ring, and whoever finds it first is said to "rule the household." The couple was given three attempts, with the best of three determining the winner. Who won? You’ll have to check the photos to find out!
A Romantic Civil Ceremony Under the Sunshine
After the Hindu traditions, Iona and Pritesh transitioned to a beautiful civil ceremony, held outdoors under a stunning flower arch adorned with greenery and white florals. With the sun shining brightly, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows and rings, making their marriage official.
Immediately following the civil ceremony, the couple had a third service led by Iona’s mother, a vicar. This blessing added an extra layer of emotion and meaning to the day, making it a truly unforgettable moment to document.
Celebrations, Dancing, and Picture-Perfect Moments
After the formalities, guests enjoyed delicious food and drinks while the couple had an outfit change and a quick practice for their first dance. The grounds of Three Rivers Country Club provided the perfect backdrop for intimate photos of the newlyweds.
As the day turned into evening, the energy soared on the dance floor with guests showcasing incredible moves. The night ended with a creative, canvas-worthy shot to beautifully complete the gallery and preserve the couple’s cherished memories.
