It was an honor to document every magical moment of their journey.
Day 1: A Warm Welcome and Pre-Wedding Shoot
The story began at the iconic Spiez Schloss Castle, a 1,300-year-old gem overlooking Lake Thun and the surrounding Alps. This historic castle offered a picturesque backdrop for Anne Sophie and Alan’s pre-wedding shoot, which took place the evening before the wedding.
Pre-wedding shoots are such a valuable part of the wedding experience. Not only do they produce stunning photos, but they also help couples relax, connect, and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Wandering the castle grounds, with yachts gently floating on the lake and the golden sunset reflecting off the mountains, was a dreamy way for Anne Sophie and Alan to settle any pre-wedding nerves and create beautiful, natural moments together.
Day 2: The Wedding Morning
The wedding day started at the elegant Riviera Hotel, where I spent the morning with both the bride and groom. Anne Sophie’s preparations were uniquely memorable—she had her hair and makeup done in a charming mobile trailer overlooking the serene Lake Thun. Meanwhile, Alan embraced the adventurous spirit of Switzerland with a refreshing morning swim in the lake, adding a personal and playful touch to the day.
Anne Sophie’s bridal preparations culminated in her stepping into a stunning wedding dress she had designed and made herself. Seeing what I can only imagine to be hundreds of hours of meticulous craftsmanship come to life so effortlessly was awe-inspiring. The timeless beauty of Spiez Schloss added another layer of magic, serving as a perfect canvas for bridal portraits that captured the elegance and serenity of the moment.
The Ceremony: A Swiss Tradition
The couple tied the knot inside the historic Spiez Schloss Castle, where the grandeur of the venue created an intimate and unforgettable setting for the ceremony.
