When Beth & Harry reached out to have me be part of their French château wedding, I was beyond excited! Château de la Couronne has a real fairytale vibe setting the scene and creating the most beautiful backdrop's for wedding pics
B & H, just wanted to hang out with their friends and party like there was no tomorrow, and that is exactly what we did! WOW, what a few days!

INCREDIBLE WEEKEND IN WITH Kat & Jack
Château de la Couronne is a breathtaking luxury destination wedding venue in the heart of the French countryside, nestled in the village of Marthon in the Charente region near the Dordogne border of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, southwest France
Destination weddings truly have my heart.
There’s something magical about that atmosphere when all your favourite people are together for more than just one day, wrapped up in this little bubble of celebration.
Beginning the festivities with shared pizzas, Aperol Spritz, and plenty of champagne, I love capturing the welcome party, everyone simply enjoying each other’s company and really loosening up together before the big day.
The party vibe was immediate: heels came off, there were some lovely toasts, plenty of dancing, and in 10 years of shooting weddings I’ve never seen a bride jump into the pool in her dress! What a flipping amazing way to kick the weekend off.
Château de la Couronne has the most incredible rooms, hallways, and staircases, it truly makes capturing beautiful images effortless, wherever the moments unfold.
While the guys shared beers, the bride’s team popped champagne, got ready, and saw Beth for the first time, such a beautiful moment.
This was followed by Dad seeing her in her dress; those precious, fly-on-the-wall moments I absolutely love.
Their ceremony took place outside by the fountain, with the stunning gardens of Château de la Couronne as the backdrop. After an explosion of confetti, the celebrations continued with everyone having a blast in the courtyard before dining together.
Then came the most incredible party, sparklers, champagne spray, wandering around the château together and before we knew it, it was the early hours of the morning.
The final day was just as gorgeous, filled with cocktails, pool games, rounders (yes, rounders!), and the chance for everyone to truly relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend together. I honestly had the most wonderful time with these amazing people and have come away with such great friends.
I always have such a lovely time capturing weddings at Château de la Couronne, and I’d love to return soon, so if you’re reading this because you have a wedding there, why not drop me a line to see if I’m available on your date HERE
